GSE131025: 3D genome architecture orchestrates activity-dependent gene expression in neurons

Post-mitotic neurons in the mammalian brain form synapses that dynamically remodel throughout an individuals lifetime to encode learning and memory. Here, we create high-resolution genome folding maps in >12 Megabases around IEGs and synaptic genes and find that 12% of long-range looping interactions are induced de novo during cortical neuron activation.
